2014 KIA Forte Hatchback Redesign and Release - As usual, Kia offers lots for what we predict are relatively very little. (Prices haven’t been proclaimed however, for reference, the 2013 Forte hatch starts at $19,075.)

Riding 16-inch wheels, EX comes with a back-up camera, Bluetooth, satellite receiving system, animal skin wheel with audio and cruise buttons, tilt/telescoping wheel, power windows, fog lights, junction rectifier headlights and what Kia calls Flex Steer, that permits the motive force to decide on from 3 steering profiles: Comfort, traditional or Sport.
Regarding looks, this hatch, available in EX and sporty SX trim, wears the latest version of the company’s robot-grimace design (my description, not Kia’s). It’s a look that’s made Kia the most unlikely automotive styling leader since that past-era car named after a department store: Hudson.
Although sharing the sedan’s only regrettable feature – the odd “eyebrow” look over the headlights – this hatchback has taken Forte to the next level with its thin-lipped machine-age smile, tear-drop side glass and, on SX models, techy LED taillights and twin exhaust pipes.
As Kia developed its 2014 Forte sedan, disclosed last November at the L.A. Auto Show, it created a automobile that managed to mix handy with handsome.
